Brand Identity
Personal Branding
I had been doing freelance design work and studying design for four years before deciding I needed a personal brand identity in 2018. I quickly discovered that creating a brand for yourself is much harder than doing so for another person or business—it’s the visual equivalent of trying to write about yourself.
I’ve always had a panglossian outlook and a love for comedy and wit, so I thought my brand should reflect this. My entire life has been full of “JK” (just kidding) jokes because of my initials, many of which were made by me, so I found it fitting to place emphasis on that in my monogram and really lean into it. Thus, my overall brand has a lighthearted yet sharp cleverness woven into its fabric.
